As of Pentecost 2008, the $5,000 has been donated to purchase the 22-rank Reuter organ which will become the backbone of our new instrument.

It is intended that vigorous fundraising will help to defray much of the additional $75,000.  At least $10,000 has been received toward this goal, much of it as gifts in memory of Vickie Huff, who died April 4, 2008.

But while the money is being raised, the design work and plans are moving forward because this is an opportune time to act.  If we were to wait until all funds have been received (five or more years in the future?) typical costs would certainly rise, and the opportunity to acquire a complete additional instrument to integrate with our own instrument would proably evaporate.
